Wives of Abraham Keturah

Abraham, a prominent figure in the Abrahamic religions, is traditionally believed to have had two main wives: Sarah and Keturah. Sarah was his first wife and the mother of his son Isaac, who would become a significant figure in Judaism and Christianity. Keturah, on the other hand, is mentioned in the Bible as a later wife of Abraham after Sarah’s death.

She is said to have borne Abraham six children:

    1. Zimran
    2. Jokshan
  1. Medan
  2. Midian
  3. Ishbak
  4. Shuah

These sons went on to become progenitors of various groups and tribes. The details about Keturah and her children are primarily found in the Book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Bible, specifically in Genesis 25:1-4. It’s important to note that while the Bible provides this information, different religious traditions may interpret and emphasize these stories in various ways.
