Here are three key events found in the Book of Joshua:

1. The Crossing of the Jordan River (Joshua 3–4)

  • A miraculous event where God stops the waters of the Jordan so the Israelites can cross on dry ground into the Promised Land.

  • It marks the official entry into Canaan and confirms Joshua’s leadership.

2. The Fall of Jericho (Joshua 6)

  • One of the most famous Bible stories: the walls of Jericho fall after the Israelites march around the city for seven days and blow trumpets.

  • This victory shows God’s power and faithfulness when His people obey Him.

3. Covenant Renewal at Shechem (Joshua 24)

  • At the end of his life, Joshua gathers all the tribes of Israel to renew their covenant with God.

  • He challenges them to serve the Lord faithfully, saying:
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

These events highlight God’s leadership, power, and faithfulness, as well as Israel’s responsibility to remain obedient.
