O Lord, our Creator, you imposed a
\nduty on all human beings to work together
\nto build up the world. Help us to develop
\nthe earth by the work of our hands and
\nwith the aid of technology in order that it
\nmay bear fruit and become a dwelling
\nworthy of the whole human family. When
\nwe do this or consciously take part in the
\nlife of social groups, we are carrying out
\nyour plan manifested at the beginning of
\ntime that we should subdue the earth,
\nperfect creation, and develop ourselves.
\nLet us realise that we are also obeying
\nChrist’s command to place ourselves at
\nthe service of others in bringing forth a
