We are called your children-we<br \/>\nare your children. You have sent into our<br \/>\nhearts the Spirit of your Son, who makes<br \/>\nus call out to you: Abba, Father! You<br \/>\nhave rescued us, Father, from the world of<br \/>\ndarkness and placed us in the kingdom of<br \/>\nyour beloved Son. You let the sun rise and<br \/>\nthe rain fall on the good and the evil alike.<br \/>\nYou have given us the true bread of<br \/>\nheaven. You see the secrets of human<br \/>\nhearts. You know the needs of all, Father.<br \/>\nYou nourish the birds of the air and the<br \/>\nlilies of the field. Without you, not even a<br \/>\nsparrow can fall from the roof. We are yours<br \/>\nand yours we wish to be. But to be more<br \/>\nsurely united with you, behold each one of<br \/>\nus freely consecrates today to your most<br \/>\nSacred Heart. Many indeed have never<br \/>\nknown you; many too, despising your<br \/>\nprecepts have rejected you. Have mercy<br \/>\non them all, most merciful Jesus, and<br \/>\ndraw them to your Sacred Heart.<br \/>\nBe you King, O Lord, not only of the<br \/>\nfaithful who have never forsaken you, but<br \/>\nalso of the prodigal children who have<br \/>\nabandoned you.
