Abstinence or some<br \/>\nother form of self-denial is recommended<br \/>\non all the Fridays of the year. The forms of<br \/>\nself-denial, to be practised in union with<\/p>\n<p>Our Lord&#8217;s suffering and death on the Cross,<br \/>\nhave been suggested by the Church and<br \/>\nthe individual is free to choose from them.<br \/>\nThe age at which abstinence becomes<br \/>\nbinding is fourteen.
