Mary most holy, Immaculate Virgin
and Mother, our Lady of the Mount!
We greet you as our most gracious
Queen, and thank you for the countless
blessings you have been showering from
your shrine of Mount Mary on all who
come to you for help. We treasure your precious statue, en-
throned on the hill that bears your name,
but much more do we venerate your spiri-
tual likeness, which is in the likeness of
your Son, the model we wish to imitate.
Queen and Mother of Mumbai, con-
tinue your reign of mercy over our city
and its suburbs. Foster goodwill and un-
derstanding among its communities; re-
lieve the suffering and destitution of its
slum-dwellers; wipe the tears of all those
in sorrow; defend the purity of our youth;
keep our families united in mutual love;
avert from our homes the evils that beset
Humble servant of the Lord, you were
made the glorious Mother of God’s Son
because you listened to his Word and kept
it. Make us earnest hearers and doers of
God’s Word. May our Christian faith con-
sist not in saying ‘Lord, Lord’, but in con-
forming our lives to his Word and his Will.
And after a fruitful life here on earth, show
to us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
To him be honour and glory for
ever.
Let Nothing Disturb You
Let nothing disturb you; nothing frighten you. All things are passing. God never changes. Patience obtains all things. Nothing is wanting to him who possesses God. God alone suffices.
